Whitelisting: Don’t Miss Another (Important) Email
Spam mail is annoying—I get it!
However, on MyConstant, when you make a withdrawal or deposit, we email you a confirmation receipt. That way you can keep track of your MyConstant activities even when you’re not logged in.
This means it’s important that emails from Andy ([email protected]) and Claire ([email protected]) remain whitelisted on the email server you use.
What is whitelisting?
Most of you are familiar with the term ‘blacklisting’— a list of people or things that are deemed unacceptable or untrustworthy. Well, ‘whitelisting’ is the opposite of that. It’s a cybersecurity strategy that gives permission for accounts (or in this case, emails) to reach your mailbox, not the spam folder.
How do I whitelist an email account?
Every email server is slightly different, but for most, all you have to do is go into Settings and then click Safe and blocked senders (in the case of Gmail, it’s filtered and blocked addresses).
You’ll then add the domain (email address) of the sender that you want to whitelist to the list of safe senders.
And that’s it! Once we’re whitelisted, you’ll find confirmation emails in your inbox — not in spam.
As always, if you have any questions about whitelisting, definitely message our customer service crew on Live Chat or send us an email at [email protected]
